Sad to Leave Liberia - Keep Liberia in Your Prayers

I'm okay!!!!  I'm writing you from my new mission....  3rd mission call like you said!! I've been called to the   Ghana Accra mission! ( Elder Zaugg's 3 mission calls are Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana ) I'm very sad to leave Liberia and all the people that we were teaching.  We are praying that the church will still stay strong and not fall again.  This will be a huge test for Liberia.  Things just have been hectic around here.  We haven't proselyted for over a week.  Our zone got pulled out last week Wednesday.  President Kirkham called us at 10pm Tuesday and was telling us that we needed to pack all our stuff and don't leave anything behind.  He said he was pulling us out of Harbel.  Everything is okay though, so don't worry!  When Elder Dever picked us up, he told us we'd be staying in the mission office for a few days.  Come to find out it was for good.  They told us a few days later that the mission would be evacuated. We are keeping a positive attitude and not letting it get us down.  We don't want this holding us back at all.  Only a few months left so we need to sprint to the finish line.  

I'll miss President Kirkham!  He has given me a new spirit about the church and teaching the Gospel.  Being in his presence and under his direction has helped me help the people of Liberia in ways that I could never have done on my own.  I'm thankful for the service he has given and for everything he has taught to us.  It was sad to watch him this past week.... His mission is getting ripped away all at once.  All that hard work coming to a stop with a hope that it won't fall.  Our faith is being tried.  Be sure to keep liberia in your prayers that this virus  will go away so missionaries can come back!  They need the church and the missionaries! 

Our new mission president is sweet! My new president is President Heid.  He recently came last month.  His drive and Spirit for the work is great! We had our interviews with him tonight and I'm excited to be working under him.  I'll be serving in a place called Ho. Before President Kirkham left, he told President Heid about each one of us, and he complimented us a lot...... I'll really miss President Kirkham.   Don't be worried!  I love you all and we are safe!  Keep us in your prayers though!  Tell everyone thank you for everything they are doing for West Africa back home.  Once again, I LOVE you all!!!!
