Our Testimony Is The One Tool We Will Always Have

My Family who is awesome and writes me everyweek! I love you (:

Like last week, not much really happened...
The Christmas call is coming up! Make sure you have questions you want answered written down because the call goes quick.  I'm ready to answer any questions.  And I better not get any news like someone is getting married or pregnant. We were talking about this subject this morning and they were talking about how last phone call home on Christmas,  Elder Humphreys sister told him she was pregnant.  So, please I beg... don't be pregnant...  especially mom... That would just throw a loop in life.  The poor kid would be going on a mission when his next oldest sibling would be 40! (which would be me)  Kendra, hopefully you haven't lost your touch on cutting hair. When I get home, you'll be doing it for the rest of my life.  And thats one thing that mission has taught me... don't be picky with your haircuts.  Just go with the flow or it will turn out worse than it already is.  So don't worry... when you cut my hair for the first time, I won't be picky.  At least I don't think so. (;

  I still haven't received ANY letters from lola or from you guys.  I still think back to that one that you were telling me you sent about my buddies along time ago and It hasn't come yet. So I haven't received a letter for a while.  And mom... Are you sure you are looking at the same person I'm looking at? Because with the stomach I got going on, you can not look good.  I have not gained any weight though,  Fyi... It has all just transformed from muscle into fat.  I weighed myself and was shocked. haha So any ideas on how to lose weight when all I can eat is carbs... carbs... and more carbs..?   And thanks for the SD card info.  I remember being told about that, but I couldn't remember if you locked it, if you could still pull pictures from it or not.  But I will try it maybe next week.  Hopefully we will be getting our SD cards back with the pictures we lost on them this week.  The man said he was able to do so, that is a miracle in itself!!

There is a place in our area called Ever green, that sells AMERICAN HAMBURGERS, so we go their on special occasions like Holidays and what not.  We have to celebrate our American holidays!!(;   Something that happened this last week....  Elder Humphrey's and I  have had money stolen.  We don't know who, but I had 20-30 in personal money taken. Humphrey's had 20 taken from his subsistance and then we had 10 U.S. for our phone money get taken.  We have an idea of who it could be, but we don't want to point fingers.   Mission life!!
Last week I forgot to write a quote I found when I was studying, so I'll put it in right now before I forget. "Christ bids us remember that our worst enemy is, after all, one of Gods children whom Christ came to save, and that we ought to treat him as we would an erring brother."  It made me really think about all those people that I didn't like in the past.  I never treated them wrongly, I just never gave them the time of day.  But, after reading that, it made my mind ponder on what I should do when theirs someone I don't like.  Being a Christ like person is NOT EASY.  It takes a lot of effort and a lot of thinking to become like Christ.  The life he lived was incredible.   He loved them even more when they were doing things against him.  He even asked our Heavenly Father to forgive them because they know not what they do.  I love learning about the gospel each day and growing in testimony.  I have never known the church to be this true, until I studied and prayed about it everyday on mission.  Our testimony is that one tool we will always have in any situation.  In the times when we have investigators who are not wanting to learn or are trying to confound us, our testimonies are what we share and they can't deny the truth we know.  I love being able to share my testimony everyday.  It makes it stronger each time I share it.  Even for you guys back home, any opportunity you have to share your testimony, take it. There's a quote I heard that I think will apply perfectly to this situation, "It takes 20 seconds of incredible courage and I promise you something good will come out of it."  In those moments where the spirit tells you to share your testimony and you think twice about it, don't think twice.  Take that courageous step and just share your testimony and the worst thing they can do is walk away.

Like I said, this week nothing really happened.  We had our primary program in the church yesterday and can I tell you, these little African kids are the cutest when doing the program.  I loved the whole thing.  They all have strong testimonies of Jesus Christ and what he did for them.  Its sweet.
I had a scripture that I wanted to share, but I forgot what It was... I think it was,
2 Tim 1:7-8   If its not, sorry yeah?  I'll go home and check it tonight then get back to ya.
Thank you again for all you guys do for me and all the love you show. Thank you for everything!!  Until next week.
Love Elder Zaugg
