If Jesus Came To Your House

Christmas Morning

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
2013  will be in the past this week!!  I now can say next year I go home.  Sad news for the missionaries coming..... they go home 2016... WOW.  Long time away :) But I LOVED hearing all of you on Christmas!! One of the best presents I've ever received! Far past any Lego I got growing up (;  Even to hear the little ones was great!  When I first heard you guys say you had a present, I thought you were bringing out the recording of the little ones.  I heard her voice then I said hi, and her response to my hi and it sounded real!  I got thinking,"Whoa, you guys did a great job at recording them with a response! I'm impressed!"  I then realized it was them and that made this call even ten times better!  Their cute little voices made my day! (His nieces were spending Christmas at their dads and weren't going to be able to talk to him. But a miracle happened and they were there for his phone call.)  I'm sorry about the phone cutting out.....  The phone said one minute left while Kendra was responding to my question and I didn't want to cut her off.. So sorry about that!  But I hope you know I love you all so much!
But this week I kind of had a little scare.... I had something poking in my mouth where my wisdom tooth was and I thought.... crap, the guy didn't pull all my teeth out.  I showed Humpherys and he said he could see a tooth coming in.   I decided to leave it and see what would happen, so the next day I checked and I could see like a black line, almost looked like a sliver coming out of the gum, but it was just poking out. Had no clue what it was, so I left it.  Good thing to do in a third world country right..?(;  Well, the next day, I woke up, and it was gone.  No more poky thing or black sliver in my mouth.  It made me wonder if it was a stitch that finally found its way out.  I'm not sure, but all I know is that its out of my mouth and I don't have anymore pokies in my mouth!  Miracle? I say YES.
Also, we found out this week, that two of our recent converts will be now in the District Presidencys.  Samuel S. Sackor who hasn't been in the church more than 3 months, will be the 2nd councilor in the District Sunday School presidency while Shetta Baby Girl Doe, will be in the District Young Women presidency.  She hasn't even reached ONE month in the church yet!!!  How cool is that?!?!  I was talking to them yesterday and they were super excited!  Shetta was a little scared and she said to me,"Let me be scared, God will help me!"  I love how much she trusts in God!  She is truly converted to the Gospel and even next year will hopefully be able to go to the Temple with her Return missionary and be sealed!  A mission is one of the most joyous moments in life.  Seeing Recent Converts grow in the Church and receive the Priesthood, performing Baptisms, and holding callings, is AMAZING!  I love having the opportunity to be serving in Liberia at this moment.  There is no where else I would want to be right now.
There is a story  I want to share, so bear with me:

If Jesus Came to your House
If Jesus Came to your house to spend a day or two
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do.
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest to such and Honored guest
And all the food you'd serve to him would be your very best.
And you'd keep assuring him you're glad to have him there
That serving him in your own home is Joy beyond compare.
But when you saw Him coming would you meet Him at the door?
With your arms outstretched in welcome to your Heavenly Visitor?
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible Where they'd been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope he hadn't heard
And wish you hadn't uttered the last loud hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymnbooks out?
Could you let Jesus just walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder if the Savior spent a day or two with you
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you keep right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep up it's usual pace
Or would you find it hard each meal to say the table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing and read the books you read
And let him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you every place you planned to go?
Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have him meet your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they'd stay away, until his visit ends?
Would you be glad to have him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief, when he at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do
If Jesus Christ in person, came to spend time with you.

Something to just ponder on and think about.  It made me think of what I would do.  This might help you make changes in your life to be better than what you are now.  The Celestial person would be comfortable around Jesus Christ no matter what.  So think to yourself....   What kingdom do you want to obtain?  Everyone of course will say Celestial...  But are you sure you're living a Celestial life... You will go to the Kingdom you are most comfortable with, so if you wouldn't be comfortable with Christ around, then make those changes.
Transfer news...... Me and Humpherys are staying!!!!! Don't know how that one happened but we love it! And Elder Smith is coming to my zone!!! If you don't remember, he's my MTC buddy that was with me for the whole first 6 months of our missions.  Now we'll be together for our year mark!  I'm pretty stoked about that!  And Elder Bowring is a boss and now is a District Leader In Banjor!  If you want to know anything else about the transfer, either read the other blogs, or I'll tell you next week!!
Love you all soooooo much!!  Hope you have a great week, and in 4 months we'll talk again(;  I wont be writing until next year either, so don't miss my emails too much!  Love you all!
