Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It's a little late...... but still counts!  I read small from the email about you guys visiting with the Humpherys family.  Thats sweet!  At least you guys know one side of the family, and I know the other! (Elder Humpherys is Elder Zauggs current companion)  We were both freaking out when I read that part to him :) don't ask me why... but it was sweet knowing our families finally met up.  And something to add to your diet,  I have learned that eating SLOW and trying to recognize the taste and texture in your food, really helps with losing weight.  When you eat slower your body has more time to digest the food and tell you you're full.  The things you learn on mission besides gaining a testimony... I've learned some pretty cool non missionary things I'll show you when I get home (; and no, none of them are inappropriate.  The little one's will love them. :)  Some things from last weeks email, Kendra got spoiled by Gage.  America truly has become lazy.... Electric car starters you can start from sitting on your couch....(;  kidding, that's something I'll definitely put in my vehicle!  Did Keaton leave this past week??  I'm praying he did, because he'll love it! (Keaton is from Elder Zauggs home ward and was called to serve in Ghana.)   Send some photos of these sweet gifts you guys got for Christmas!  I want to see them.
This past week I got a package from the Petersen Family!   Also, I got a Christmas card from Pauline Mendenhall that I appreciated and one from a family I didn't know.  It didn't have a return address on it so I wasn't sure who it was from.  I opened it up and it was a Christmas card.  As I read what was on the inside, I realized it was from the Kristiansen family from Denmark that you were telling me about, who were just recently baptized.  They had sent it out on the 2nd of December and they were telling me they were getting baptized on the 14th.  It was great getting something from converts in my home ward.  It was a good surprise and something I'll keep!  They seem like an awesome family and I wish I could meet them.  Maybe you could send a picture of there family so I can see who they are.  Don't know if its possible, but worth a shot right? (:
For New Years, we celebrated hard!  We stayed up until 1am talking and having a good time!   Alright I'm kidding....  When 10:15 hit I was OUT!!!  Theres no way I would stay up past 10:30.  One to follow mission rules and two, I'm to dang tired to stay up late anymore. haha  We did have fun before that though.  We went and bought a 4 Liter thing of HoneyComb ice cream, divided it between 6 of us, and then I diced up the Recess cup and Snickers you guys sent and gave some to everyone...  ENJOYMENT at its finest!!!  20 minutes later we were on the floor wondering why we did this to ourselves.... that much dairy in a stomach that's not had it for awhile.. Yeah, doesn't feel or look good.  Tastes amazing when its going down!(:  then you get the after effects which hit HARD... I'll need to get my body back on dairy quick when I get home.  I'm missing my daily glass of milk in a Bad way!!!
Nothing else happened this week except that we found out F.D. will be getting married!!!!!!  This is putting him closer to his baptism!  The only thing thats keeping him back is that he's moving into the bush in August so president Kirkham doesn't want him getting baptized yet.  I'll keep you updated on it and let you know how it goes!  I love you guys and hope that you all keep enjoying yourselves back home.  Keep looking for the miracles in your lives everyday and recognize that God is watching over you.  It helps a lot.  Thank you for everything!  Love you all!

I LOVE AFRICA
A great way to start the new year was meeting with our wonderful Zone Leaders and Sister Trainer Leaders.  They are a great group of missionaries.  (picture courtesy of Liberia Monrovia mission blog)
