Doctor Zaugg

Oooooh  Africa.....
I love it here!  Stays 85 degrees year round with 95% humidity, what more can you ask for!? I'm living in paradise!  <--- I was joking if you didn't catch my sarcasm.... I've kinda lost the touch on my sarcastic comments. I really love Africa I just don't love dry season.  Rainy season needs to find its way back quick!  The dust is horrible right now.  Especially in Doe Community.  I polish my shoes, make them look nice, and when I take one step out the door......... instant dirt.  At least I impressed the security guards at the bottom of the stairs right..?  I guess this is where the line,"Its the thought that counts" fits in. Oh mission life.  Its interesting (:  definitely something I'm glad I chose to do.  I've had plenty experiences that I could never have anywhere else.  Like drama between males...  I knew such thing existed, but you find out its true when you mix races and cram 4 guys in a small apartment.  Talk about drama.

Elder Zauggs response to emails he received a few weeks ago:
Mom, I couldn't tell if you were trying to make fun of my poop story by using "crappy week" or if that was non-intended.  Whatever it was, it made me laugh. Just thought I'd check (:  And if my fingers were broke, do you think I'd tell you..?  Guess you'll find out in 1 year if they were broke or not. Love You (; Don't worry yeah?  Everything will be okay with me.  God is on my side!!!!!!(; And don't think I'm trying to make you stress... because that's not my goal (; hahaahha oooooooh mother...  You will lose a few years off your life if you stress about me for the next year.  Just enjoy life and forget about me until Mondays! (:
American Warrior with swag,  Definitely made me laugh when I read that (: Thanks for the advice about Lagoon. (An amusement park that the employees always say, "Keep your hands and feet in the car at all times.")   I"ll remember that the next time I get in a taxi.  These cars are already falling apart so there not a snug fit.  I'm surprised the door didn't fall of its hinges instead.  Most of the cars get in accidents and they just all pull away and keep going.  Dents don't matter here, neither do pot holes in the road.  They just fly over them ruining everything they got on the underside.  No big deal to them.

This week was just another week.  Beginning of a new companionship and its sweet.  He's an awesome missionary!  I love the kid.  We'll do great things together in DC.  I can't remember if I told you he's from Sierra Leone or not.... but that's where he's from.  Right before we were leaving the apartment this morning, Elder M. was in our apartment cleaning out his ears when he goes,"Uh... guys. do you see the end of my Q-tip??"  We looked on the ground and then couldn't see anything.  We checked his ear, and there she was!  That sucker was in there! AND I mean In there!!!!  Pushing a good half inch to 3/4 in his ear.  Don't know what he's doing with it that far in there, but all I know is, this was a job for DOCTOR ZAUGG.  I had him step into my office and I worked some magic.  I wish I could send photos from this cafe because We snapped some photos of the "surgery."  I was able to fix him up.  He was a little hesitant, but I gave him the,"Have faith in me" speech.  That got him to trust me (:  That is how our morning went though.
Tomorrow we will be having our Zone Conference and will be pleased to hear from Elder Curtis who is the West Africa area president I think, or something like that.  He's the president over West Africa if that makes sense.  It'll be sweet!  He wants to do a mission council for all the zone leaders in the morning tomorrow, so we'll all be meeting at the mission office bright and early in the morning! We'll leave our apartment by 7:20.  Early start to the day!
If you haven't sent the package.... maybe you could look for a thing they call Karamel Waffles.  If you find them great, if not, I'll find them when I get home.  THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!
I've been slacking on scriptures but I'll give some next week.  Have a great week!  Sorry for the short email, not much happened this week.  Love all of you!!   Love you!
Love Elder Zaugg
