How To Catch A Thief....

Making home made cake at the Elders Quorum President house, with his wife

My awesome American Family!!(;
I totally forgot to tell you it was transfers this week,  but guess I'll break the news of whats happening!!!   ......................................................................... I'm staying!! for my 5th transfer..... its bitter sweet.  I love the branch and the area because of how good it is, but there comes a time when you need something new.   The Lord still needs me here so I'm willing to stay.  Elder Kamara is my companion still as well.  The only thing that change about our area, is they closed Doe Community 2 down and combined it with our area, so now Elder Kamara and I have both areas to cover and we get the apartment to ourselves!!!  This has never happened to me before on mission!  I've never been in a two man apartment before so I'm pretty excited!

The birthday party looked like fun!  That's something I miss having.  Actual get togethers with family and playing games, enjoying each others company.  Did you do anything else for the birthdays?  I haven't read all the email, so I don't know if you talked about it.
Mom, I do remember when I didn't want you reading them.  :) I thought I'd have the same experiences.... totally different.
(Before Elder Zaugg left on his mission he wouldn't let his mom read the other missionary blogs. He wanted it all to be a surprise.)  Sorry yeah?(: love you!  Don't worry about sending different sandals.  Dry season will be over by the time you get them to me.  Dry season only goes until MAYish, so not much of dry season left.  Then rainy season almost until I come home, so don't worry about it.   The steaks you guys made sounds delicious by the way.  And all of you got it right, what I want that meal to be when I get home..  Ribs with Home made root bear with frog eye salad and baked potatoes with CHEESE.
I want to try finding a way to send these photos, so I'll only share a small story then try sending some photos

Like you know, we've had thieves.  Well, my companion got sick of it.  So, he got the genius idea to set a trap for our friends who try taking our stuff at night.  Let me lay this out for you.  He had just washed his clothes and finished hanging them up, and then came busting in the back door.  I was at my desk writing in my journal, and then he goes,"I'm setting a trap for these thieves!"  He grabs his thread that you sew with and goes back out on the deck.  What his trap was, was he had tied string from one side of his clothes to the other, and then ran the string through the screen into our room and left it bunched up on the floor.  I'll continue with what he proceeded to do after.  Anyways, It's now 10:25 so I go into my room to get my bed situated and to pray.  Our Electricity was out so we had no light.  I had the phone light though so it was sufficient for what I was doing.  As I was untucking my net to get in, the light passed by the bundle of thread, but at this part I didn't know he had put the thread through the screen and left it piled on the floor.  Well, Brother Kellie was on the deck and had accidentally ran into the trap, which made the pile of thread move.  Lets just say, I jumped a little because the thread moved up the wall.  The light had passed it almost at the exact moment to, so I saw it out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was one of those friendly gigantic spiders that like living with us.  I just laughed after.  How he set the rest of the trap, was he tied a glass bottle to the end of the thread, and set in on the edge of his bed.  His thinking, the thief will entangle himself in the thread causing the bottle to fall banging against the wall, waking us out of our sleep so we can run out and grab the thief.  Before we went to sleep he said,"Be aware."  Alright my crime fighting companion!!  I'm right behind you!  At least he'll be able to see the guy running through the night!  Something interesting about thieves, some of them will go naked or go in briefs and put oil all over there bodies.  They do this for 2 reasons, (1. so you can't see them at night. taking advantage of their skin color.  (2. the oil is for when you catch them, they'll slip out of your grip.  not bad thinking.   Just some Fun Facts about thieves in LIB!  Haha

Now I'm going to send photos hopefully!  I love you all and will talk to you in a month or so. This scripture when I came across it had something I wanted to say about it.  But my short term memory loss is getting me.  My companion always says something that I now try to practice,"A short pen is better than a long memory"  I'm trying to write things down more often.  But here it is:
Alma 1:28-33
Love all of you!
Elder Zaugg
